Energy Savings and lamp life benefits
Research has shown, when
you dim a light to 50%, using our system you WILL save
40% of energy usage, while also extending the lamp
life 20 times. If you have expensive $50, lamps in
hard-to-reach ceiling fixtures, and you extend their
lives by a factor of 20 by dimming 50% consistently, you
have just save $1,000 of expense. When presented
with this math, it beings to make a lot of sense from
both a "dollar and cents" and a convenience standpoint.

What's a "Lighting
Scene?"
Middle-of-the-night path
of lighting can turn on your bedroom lighting to a very
low 10%, allowing another person to stay asleep and not
be disturbed. It can then illuminate the master
bathroom to a 20% level, adjusting with your eyes.
One of the most valuable
benefits of lighting control is the ability to
automatically control several lights simultaneously from
the touch of a button anywhere in your home. This is
referred to as a "Lighting Scene."
Personalize your choices with 27 standard colors and
finishes to complement your decor.

Safety and Convenience of lighting scenes
"Fire
Escape”
path of
lighting:
The thought of a fire in the house late at night is
terrifying to any parent. A homes' fire alarm or smoke
detector can actually be integrated with the lighting
control system in such a way that if it were to go off,
an emergency path of soft, dim light could be
illuminated to lead family members safely to an exit in
case of a fire.
"Time
Clock lighting events while on vacation"
An
astronomic time clock can integrate with RadioRA to
create timed lighting events in a home for an “away”
mode. This away mode creates a “lived-in” look that can
simulate occupancy in a home by illuminating several
different lighting scenes, mimicking real life patterns
in a home with both lighting and automated shading.
This feature is very powerful because it is a proactive
way to make a home more secure. Unlike a security
system, which is reactive (activating only when
violated), RadioRA can deter a potential intruder from
even attempting a break in.
“All ON”
in the middle of the night.
Homeowners
can press a simple “ALL ON” or “Outdoor
Lighting ON” or “Lighting Path to Kids Room on
FULL,” if you hear an unexpected “bump” in the
night, and your lighting will come to full bright. They
can quickly gain piece of mind that all is ok, instead
of being left in the dark.
Emergency or Security "FLASH/FULL"
A home owner can opt to have their lighting control
system interfaced to their security system. In the
unlikely case of a break-in, exterior lights are locked
in at full bright, making the home and the intruder very
visible to neighbors and police. Have you ever seen a
6,000 sq foot house flashing ON/OFF, ON/OFF,
ON/OFF....in the event of a health emergency, signaling
to an ambulance from great distances where the house is
located.
"Home"
create a scene
of light as you're
approaching your home. Touch the Car Visor Control's
"Home" by turning on interior and exterior lights,
safely lighting a path into and through your home.
"Away"
This scene is typically either geared towards leaving in the
morning during weekdays or leaving in the evenings, “Away Day”
as it is often referred to, simply turns off unneeded lighting
in an office and around the perimeter of the home before going
to work. “Away Night” will turn off most of the home’s lighting
while illuminating the porch light and some landscape lighting,
making the home look elegant and occupied while gone for the
evening.
"Entertain"
This scene will create elegance, prestige, and beauty
around the home, but it also saves the time of walking
around the house and adjusting lighting room-by-room
before having company.
"Goodnight" With
the touch of one button from the bedside, all unused
lights go off and outdoor lighting turns on for the
night. This scene eliminates the tedious process of
running through the house and turning off lights, then
trying to get to bed in darkness.
"Bedroom
to Kitchen (at night)"
This
middle-of-the-night path of lighting can set your bedroom
lighting to a very low 10%, then lead you down the hall, the
stairs and into the kitchen for a midnight snack.
"Bedroom to Bathroom
(at night)" This
middle-of-the-night path of lighting can turn on your
bedroom lighting to a very low 10%, allowing another
person to stay asleep and not be disturbed. It can then
illuminate the master bathroom to a 20% level, adjusting
with your eyes. This allows you to use the bathroom
without the shock of the vanity lights being switched to
full bright from total darkness, then easily return to
bed and turn the lights off. This, instead of turning
the lights off, “seeing stars” and wandering through the
room blindly attempting to find the bed
"Good Morning":
Initiated
from a bedside tabletop keypad, this path of lighting
will slowly wake a home owner, inviting them to a new
day with a slow rise of soft lighting in the master
bedroom, bathroom, closet, hallway and stairwell, ending
in the kitchen with a bright awaking light level. Whole
home scenes to simplify daily routines and beautify the
home.
